Chipping is the first size reduction in a wood pellet line, and chip shape affects everything downstream: grinding energy, dryer performance and pellet durability. The YLBX series runs from the compact 213 through the 216, 2108 and 2110 models, handling logs, branches and twigs with moisture above 15%.
Disc and drum chippers cut differently; drum machines generally accept larger diameter material and produce a more uniform chip. Knife condition, anvil clearance and feed speed decide chip length and how much work the grinder has left.
The series is specified for 20–50% lower power consumption than comparable market models.
